ETIP Bioenergy Working Groups Webinars

The 9th Stakeholder Plenary Meeting of the European Technology and Innovation Platform Bioenergy (ETIP Bioenergy) on 20-21 November 2019 has confirmed the many opportunities available today regarding the use of sustainable biomass in consideration of the transition to clean energy in Europe. The sector is currently showing concrete signals of a renewed commitment both with new commercial industrial initiatives, and in regard to research and innovation.

Moderated breakout sessions, held at the 9th Stakeholder Plenary Meeting and open to the participants, were organised in order to collect stakeholders’ views and advice on what are the most important aspects of the sector that still need to be addressed by the Platform’s four working groups on biomass supply, conversion, end use, market and policy.

As a follow up, the four working groups will be holding consecutive webinars to discuss the further course of work that will take place in 2020. The first three webinars are scheduled as follows:

• Working Group 2 “Conversion” webinar will be held on 18 February 2020 from 14:00-15:00 CET;
• Working Group 3 “End Use” webinar will be held 11 March 2020 from 10:00-11:30 CET;
• Working Group 4 “Policy & Sustainability” webinar will be held on 13 February 2020 from 14:00-15:00 CET.
