10 Years of ERA-NET Bioenergy: Conference on Research for the Agri-Forestry Sector, Bio-based industries, energy consumers and society

This conference brings together selected key members of the agri-forestry sector to showcase the results of innovative projects in the fields of sustainable forest management, optimised use of lignocellulosic resources, biogas production and energy crops. We will also take a policy view of the sector and discuss strategic direction, suitability and use of Era-Nets for the agri-forestry sector.

The event includes an afternoon session dedicated to advanced biofuels and biorefineries and innovations in biogas production & energy crops

The event takes place in the frame of the International trade fair for innovative energy supply Energy Decentral (www.energy-decentral.com). Participants thus have the chance to enlarge their networks and pick up innovative solutions for an independent, decentralised energy supply.

Prior to the status conference, in the afternoon of Monday, November 10th, a field trip to two biomass-related sites in/near Hanover will be organised by ERA-NET Bioenergy. The first visit will be paid to the wood pellets plant Hanover-Marienwerder and the second trip will visit the Institute for Bioplastics and Biocomposites at the Univserity of Hanover.
