SEDA is a legal entity at state budget support with headquarters in Sofia and has the status of an executive agency within the Ministry of Economy and Energy. The Agency is organized into general and specialized administration. 

The Directorate "Plans and programs for energy efficiency and renewable energy sources": 

• takes part in the elaboration and actualization of the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan and of the National Action Plans for Renewable Energy 

• Elaborates national reports, points of view and standpoints related with the implementation of the EU directives 

• Prepares annual report on the implementation of national action plans on energy efficiency

• Organizes the elaboration of projects and concludes voluntary agreements and performs monitoring and their implementation 

• Cooperates with the bodies of the state government and the local authorities, associations of employers, professional organizations, consumer associations and non-profit legal entities for the implementation of the energy efficiency activities and measures.
