Innovation Fund: New FAQs Available
The first call for proposals of the Innovation Fund, the EU programme dedicated to fund the demonstration of innovative low-carbon technologies, will be launched very soon.
As announced in February 2019, the Fund will support highly innovative technologies and big flagship projects with European added value that can bring on significant emission reductions.
With a total budget of around €10 billion (depending on the carbon price), the expected impacts will be:
- availability of right financial incentives for projects to invest now in the next generation of technologies needed for EU’s low-carbon transition;
- boosted growth and competitiveness by empowering EU companies with a first-mover advantage to become global technology leaders;
- support to innovative low-carbon technologies in all Member States in taking off and reaching the market.
