5th Central European Biomass Conference

The event will be taking place concurrently with the „Häuslbauer” Trade Fair for home builders at the Messecenter Graz. The conference is designed for about 1,000 participants. The conference languages are German and English in simultaneous translation.

The agreement at the UN Climate Change Conference 2015 in Paris gave the starting signal for a global energy transition. Investments that have previously gone into fossil energy are going to be increasingly redirected into renewable energies, of which in Europe bioenergy has the biggest significance. The prospects are excellent for Central Europe to profit from investments in infrastructure and system technology as well as from the positive effects of using bioenergy. Bearing these happenings in mind, the organisers of the 5th Central European Biomass Conference are placing special emphasis on the sustainable provision of biomass and efficient use of bioenergy as well as its contribution to climate protection, energy transition and the bioeconomy.
