Climate Change: 2050 - the future begins today

The European Parliament resolution of 4 February 2009 on “2050: The future begins today - Recommendations for the EU's future integrated policy on climate change” (2008/2105(INI)). This report sets out a range of measures that should be taken in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25-40% by 2020 and a reduction of at least 80% by 2050. The report advocates that EU and Members States should invest in research on advanced biofuels, among other technologies.
