Gaps in the Research of 2nd Generation Transportation Biofuels

The final report of IEA Bioenergy Task 41, Project 2. It was initiated by Mr Larry Russo, Office of Biomass Program, US Department of Energy in January 2006 and led by Dr Michael Ladisch of Purdue University, USA. The participants were Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom, USA, and the European Commission. This publication was produced by the Implementing Agreement on Bioenergy, which forms part of a programme of international energy technology collaboration undertaken under the auspices of the International Energy Agency.
