The Faculty of Forestry of the University of Belgrade is the oldest and the highest scientific institution of higher education in the fields of forestry, wood processing, landscape architecture and horticulture and ecological engineering for soil and water resources protection in Serbia. As a part of permanent education, the faculty organizes knowledge innovations, professional improvement trainings and education of experts of various specializations. Faculty has significant experience acquired through numerous national, regional and international projects (FP7 project IN2WOOD, S2Biom,...) in the field of sustainable and multifunctional use of forest resources, operational and strategic planning in forest sector, bioproducts and bioenergy from forest biomass. The Faculty has a numerical and spatial databases of Serbian forests, forest bioproducts, processing capacities of forest bioproducts, etc.
